Muted colours

India32 copy

India is, quite justifiably, associated with vibrant colours. And indeed, many of my photos are bold and vivid. But I also have some soft and subtle pictures, of which I am particularly fond. For example this scene has such a lovely muted palette that even the woman’s sari, which she is wrapping around herself, seems to have deliberately softened itself in empathy with the fading colours of the patchwork boat cover. That’s all part of the rich tapestry of India I guess.
