Today I was lucky enough to be in Mathura in India’s Uttar Pradesh, to coincide with the Hare Krishna birthday celebrations – known as the Janmashtami festival. Mathura is considered the birthplace of Krishna so it’s a pretty auspicious place to be for this event. It’s also a lot of fun with all the free food being given out plus the music and dancing. But it looks like it all got a bit too much for this pilgrim!
