After a seemingly false start with the monsoon and the return of fine weather, I have been in the habit of taking a walk through the village and beyond each evening before sunset – to capture the surrounding hills in their best light and also to photograph the local people, who are generally such willing and patient subjects that I feel bad if I don’t produce an amazing picture to impress them with after they have given me their time.
Fortunately, I think I got a good result with this young lady – not only because she is attractive and is wearing a lovely shawl but because she had such a great backdrop of a lovely textured old door and vivid painted colours of the walls of her home. India is all about colour after all!
Such a pleasing image. Just lovely.
