Little cherub, Italy

The thing I love about Italy is that it’s one of very few countries that can pull off whimsical frivolities like cherubic sculptures in the garden. In Italy they look like romantic whispers of the Renaissance period that can only serve to enhance and embellish their surroundings. Take them anywhere else and they’d be considered over the top, out of place and, dare I say, ‘naff’.

Italy can get away with a lot of things – but that’s what generally happens when you’re beautiful and from a good background!
